So, I did it...

Yes, I finally bowed to peer pressure and joined this year’s A-Z challenge! I’ve been hesitating because my two year blogoversary is coming up and I’m concerned the blog and I are losing passion for one another.  Lately I've found it hard just to make our Mon/Wed/Fri rendez-vous. And then the Blog is all like: ‘You never make time for me anymore! Don’t you remember how it was when we first met?  The blissful hours we spent building our platform together?’

And I’m like: ‘I know, honey. I’m sorry but you know real life has been busy…’

Blog: ‘That’s what you always say! Just admit it. There’s someone else, isn’t there?’

Me: ‘No, bloggy boo, I swear! I haven’t written a full chapter in months!’

Blog: ‘Ha! I’ve seen the way you’ve been ogling that word doc. And don’t get me started on your reading list. Didn’t think I knew about that- did you? Don’t forget- I do have access to your email account. I’m not a total moron. Everything comes before ME,  doesn’t it? DOESN’T IT?!!’

Me: ‘Yikes, jeez! Okay, fine. How about I sign us up for a couples retreat?  It’s called the A-Z challenge. Just you and me- no pressure, no themes besides a letter of the alphabet and I’ll be posting every day! – except Sunday’s. What do you think?’

Blog: *sighs* ‘You really mean it?’

Me: ‘Yes’

**give eachother Googley eyes**

So, there you have it. If you guys remember my A-Z challenge from last year, well…at least you have an idea of what kind of random is in store.

In other news, this week’s winner of the ANALOGY WARS is:

Amber !

Querying is like a hard-boiled egg…If you crack it before it’s done, you go hungry.

Congratulations Amber! Feel free to grab a winner’s button if you so desire and everyone be sure to check out Amber’s blog.

This week’s ANALOGY WARS challenge is:

Writing/ Querying is like going camping in the woods…

May the analogy-writing force be with you and have a great weekend everybody!

I'm participating in A to Z too. See you around in April!

I've never been camping in the woods (and hope never to do so - shudder -- give me a hotel, please!) so I got nothing in the analogy department!

Enjoy the AtoZ Challenge! I'm not participating, and I learned last year that means no visitors for April, so I think I'm going to take a month's hiatus from posting.

I still be out and about as a visitor, though!

Remember the good old days? Me and you and Candace and Jess? I do miss the passion that came with blogging, when it was fresh and new and oh so cool. But I've basically accomplished everything I set out to do. Except, you know, get an agent.

Hmm. Not sure A to Z will help with that, but we're sure glad to have you, number 1306!

I'm not participating. It doesn't fit with Casey's and my blog. But good for you. Loved your talk between your blog and yourself. I'll stop by when I can.

Hoping to rekindle 'something' also.
See you there.

I'm in, too. Peer pressure wins again!

So many of us have lost that loving feeling. The passion is not there like it once was and it may be time to move on. Cutting back and not being on a schedule may be the way to go.

Loved your post. I can't wait to read your A-Zs.

Great post! Funny! I love this line the most: "Blog: ‘That’s what you always say! Just admit it. There’s someone else, isn’t there?’"

Bahaha!!! Love it! :D

I am laughing so hard here, mostly because I feel the same way you do right now. But I am also joining the A to Z challenge, and hopefully it will re-kindle something for me as well. Good luck to us both :)

Hmmm, I do believe Gary is laughing...

Fun post, and I hope we all have some fun with the A-Z. Should be a challenge, but maybe it'll help get us back in the groove again, too.

There's no way I can do the A-Z challenge. I don't have nearly enough time or brain power, but I look forward to reading your posts.

Querying is like going camping in the woods. You cut down a tree, but it seems like it doesn't make a sound.

Awww. I hope your month of togetherness rekindles the spark. Look forward to seeing the randomness :)

I'm doing the A to Z challenge for the first time. I thought it would be a breeze since we are not going out of town. Then I realized my kids would be home for 10 straight days for Easter/Spring Break. D'oh!

Querying is like camping. All the query-folk start off as cheerful bugs, clustering around the bright agents. We beg for attention, hope for acceptance, but get zapped with rejection. Stupidily we flutter to the next one, hoping for a different outcome.

Nothing like some quality blog time to rekindle the old spark. Welcome to the April fun.

It is m first time doing the A to Z. I'm glad you caved in and decided to do it. Hopefully it will rekindle the spark you once had with your blog. I hope you don't lose interest because I truly love reading your post.

I am pretty new to blogging and I starting to get nervous-I keep reading about the veterans losing the passion. I can certainly see how it happens, but I hope I hang in at least until I get an agent. Hopefully the month of April will bring some of the fun back for you. I look forward to reading your post.

Looking forward to the A to Z blogging fun.
