I Did It! I Did It! Oh Ya ya ya!

Creepy Query Girl does a 'happy dance'.  I just got home from a very early expedition to the testing center to see if I'm one of those lucky few capable of passing the written exam for the french driver's permit.

Seriously, it was like studying to pass the bar.  But.....I did it!  Words can not express how relieved I am to have that over!

Now I can dedicate even more of my time to sitting on my arse in front of the computer.  Except when I have to go sit my arse in front of a steering wheel and figure out a stick shift.  When will the french get with the program and make all vehicules automatic?

Anywhoo, Thanks for all the well wishes:)  I've got stock pile of awards to give out but I think I'm going to take a day to go revisit all of your wonderful blogs and assign accordingly.

K, I'm going to go 'stay away' from my finished ms, and revel in my victory over the french bureaucracy:)

I hope you guys have an awesome Friday!

Tae Bo?

(Sorry, it seems I'm in a bit of a bratty mood today. Blame it on FRIDAY!)

Congratulations!!! YOU DID IT!!! What a sense of relief I'm sure! Yikes, next obstacle, driving a stick shift, something I've never done, but should attempt! Good Luck!

Hey that's awesome CQG, congratulations!

When are you going to France by the way? You don't live there do you?

Stick shift is very hard at first, but lot's of fun once you learn it. It can be very difficult to start on hills - don't be afraid to use the handbrake to keep from rolling backwards.

"le code" in France is almost Rosicrucian in its complexity! Good going!
By the way automatics, while rare, can be found here. Cheers.

Congrats! Oh, and when you practice driving a stick, don't do it with your husband/boyfriend/SO in the car with you. Not if you want to remain fond of the. ;-)

Wooohooooo! I didn't get my driver's license until I was 20 because I didn't have a car and couldn't afford insurance before then (I went to a small college so I didn't really need one). I totally understand the frustration of not being able to drive... lol... congrats!!! Yippee!

Congratulations! I'm so glad you passed your test. I didn't know they don't drive automatics in France. I used to drive a stick shift, but it's been a long, long time. I remember it was pretty fun, though - you'll like it once you get the hang of it.

Wahoo, well done you. Now where are you going to go with your new found freedom.

For some reason, you didn't have me as a follower. We can't be having that, I'm a big fan, so I've rejoined, but may be on twice. DER!!
