T- Tanning

Yup.  That’s all I’ve got going on today.  I’m not one of those people who can lay out in the sun for hours.  In fact, I’m quite the opposite.  I hate hate hate being too hot.  Another reason I love fall and winter is the layers.  If you’re too hot, you can just take off some more clothes.  But in summer?  Once you’re down to your bikini and the heat is still rolling in, you’ve got few options.   Plus, in most cases and places, (like in a public parking lot) you can’t just strip down to your skivvies ‘cause the sun’s blazing.

I can deal with a little tanning if there is a water source nearby.  I’ll get cooled off in a pool or an outdoor shower and then be able to manage lying out for the fifteen minutes or so it takes for me to dry off and get hot again.   This used to drive my friends crazy.

But there is something to be said for lying out on a hot day with a cool drink, the radio turned up and the perfume-sample smell of a brand new women’s magazine mixed with spf 50 lotion.   It’s in the high 70’s today in Ile de France so I’m going to soak up the last couple days of my spring break before school goes back into session Tuesday.

I hope you all have a fantastic Easter weekend!!

I hate hot too! Sounds like you've got perfect weather for 'Sushi for Beginners'! ;o)

What I wouldn't give for weather in the 70's right now. It's still in the 50's here in CT, and it's been dreary and un-spring-like. Yuck.
I'm a total bitch when I'm overheated, yet I live for the beach. It's quite a conundrum. Oh well, soak up some rays for me!

What lovely weather! Give me 70s all year round and I'll never complain. It's 36 and drizzly today just north of CT and we're heading off to soccer. Ugh.

Have a wonderful Easter, Katie!

I love heat, but I burn and then pretty much go back to paste-y, that and my dad's a dermatologist so there wasn't much tanning going on around my house growing up.

I would kill for some 70 degree weather! It's still cold here in Michigan. Mother Nature is not being kind to us this spring!

It's getting hotter here in Florida.
I'm getting ready to DJ from 12-3 in Sandestin, outside, in the heat...well, not quite HOT. It will be in the high 70s.

But, I must admit, bikinis do make summer worth it...not on me mind you...I don't have a bikini figure.

Be blessed. Be a blessing.

I hate being too hot as well. I'm not one for laying out in the sun, or sitting in the sun either. I have to put factor 50 sunscreen on or I look like a lobster. My dad calls me 'milkbottle.' LOL.

Happy Easter

I don't like being too hot either but after this winter I'm ready to sit in the sun.

I love to tan even tho I know I shouldn't and I much prefer hot to cold because I hate being layered in clothes; I feel bulky! I am definitely a summer girl.

And I hate being tan! Ivory skin form me all the way. I've got wrinkles to ward off. :)

I love being hot! I can't stand being cold at all. Summer heat doesn't bother me, it's the humidity that's difficult to put up with.

I don't know if laying out for me would be called "tanning" because I always slather myself with sunblock! You can still get tan, but it's very very gradual. I much prefer my normal skin color than the possibility of old leathery skin or worse skin cancer, eeek. Anyway, I'd rather be swimming than laying out. :)

Enjoy your wonderful weather!!! Have a happy Easter!

after a week of it... yep, I still like lying around in the sun. But I agree--a water source must be nearby. Nothing worse than getting all hot and sweaty and not being able to cool down. :p <3

Have a great Easter!

I hate being hot too! But I can't tan anyways ... I'm very fair, and so far my dad and several of my grandparents and a bunch of other people in my family have gotten skin cancer, so I pretty much never get in the sun without sunscreen.

Have a good Easter :-)

I usually don't mind being hot, but yes, a cold drink and nearby water makes it better! I'm on a medication that means I can't be in the sun for the next month - the only thing that's getting me through the fact that we got snow twice this week and topped out at 53 and cloudy today...

Perfect word choice for the letter "T". I actually got to swim in our pool today without being too hot and without all of my kids inviting the world over. It was nice.

BYW, I love your blog design. I spent a long time last night viewing the backgrounds at the cutest blog on the block, but I am so techno ignorant, all I did was erase my previous background without managing to add the one I selected.

I think I am going to buy a custom design from them and hope they can help me install. Your colors are awesome.

I can't take it too hot! I'm not much for laying out in it...always feel like my contact lens are melting in my eyes. I rather walk on the beach and find treasure. Enjoy! Happy Easter~

I'm Mex and a S. Cali girl, so I LOVE the sun! Perfect day... my patio, good book, and tall glass of vanilla flavored iced tea on the rocks with a bendy straw! But I do burn easily and I get those sandle marks on my feet. LOL!

I love laying out with my sister. It's a great time to bond. I'm more into the water and the swimming but the water is still a little too cool for my taste.

If you aren't into the HOT, HOT weather you wouldn't love Houston since the humidity through the roof. Then again after being in winter for 6 months out of the year while living in Iowa I love the break.

Sounds wonderful. Here in FLorida it was in the 80s today. Beautiful and breezy. The type of day where before you know it you have been outside too long and are french fried like a crispy critter. Keep on tracking those agents! Liked your blog.
