Y - Yikes!

It’s one of my husband and I’s favorite words.
When one of the kids comes in with a huge snail (yes they do grow to be the size of small dogs around here)- ‘Yikes!’

When the weird lady in the grocery line keeps turning around to talk to us about God- hubby and I share a discrete ‘yiiiikes!?…’ behind her back.

When one of us is confused, tired, or completely freaking out about something ridiculous, we can always count on the other to break the tension with a muttered ‘Yikes.’

Surprised?  ‘Yikes!’

Disgusted?  ‘Yikes!’

Faced with the bizarre?  ‘Yah-hiiikes!’

And ‘Yikes!’ this post went on way too long.  I gotta get back to watching William and Kate tie the knot;)

Have a great weekend everyone!  I’ll ‘Z’ you tomorrow for the final day of our A-Z challenge!  Can you believe it's over already?

Hahahaha what a versatile word!

I completely forgot about the wedding. Not the media's fault, I assure you.

Prince William and Kate's wedding was amazing! I'm now watching the live stream at work since I'm stuck here. I can work with it though ;)

YIKES!

Okay now I'm going to be saying that all day long because the word is now stuck in my head.

And I agree with Jen, the wedding was amazing!

I didn't watch the wedding. (See my blog for what I WAS doing last night! lol)

I LOVE the word "Yikes." I should definitely use it more often. Now it's in my head, and I probably will. :)

At least you got to watch the wedding live. It was at 3 am here. Fortunately it'll be reshown on all the Canadian channels, so I can still see it. ;)

Great, now Yikes is going to show up in my ms when I edit today. :P

Yikes! That snail gives me the creeps. But I do love that word. :)

Yikes - well, not a word I've heard around so much, but clearly it is one of those useful multi-functional outbursts! ;-)

I sat and watch the Royal Wedding and loved every minute of it -except Princess Beatrice's hat!
:-o
(what was she thinking of?)

Yikes is a great word! Especially when it is being used to keep from saying bad words!

My co-author's and I had our protagonist use the word "yikes" in our mystery series. It's a fun word!

Call me gullable, but, uh... do the snails really get that big in your neck of the woods?

If so...YIKES!!! :-)
