I created this. Out of thin air. Like magic.
I took something invisible and intangible- a simple idea.
And I made it into something concrete- something you can hold in your hands. Words that stick on the page, exactly as I wrote them, even if you crumple it. Something I can share.
That is the power of the written word.
And there's nothing else like it.

This is a great post: an idea and a feeling all writers need to hold on to through the daunting task of publication.
I actually finished the book a couple months back but just recently found the photo and couldn't help but marvel at 'that feeling'. It's just incredible.
